The rear panel has some instructions on exhaust, and it says to use thick-wall rear duct, not thin-wall foil. Pretty sure the duct that’s actually in place is thin-wall.

There was a screw inside at the bottom - looks like someone had been in here before.

This has a plain bearing. a few other options online have a ball bearing.

I bought affresh. jeez expensive! corrosive, which is good

affresh package says put it in the basin. I absentmindedly stared at the washer and saw that pure cycle has this behavior where it fills and rinses the tank in the first 20 minutes, then dumps that. So pausing the cycle after the first cycle and putting the affresh tablet in then might be beneficial.
