USAID was funding health data systems for service delivery - HIV - there hasn’t been up-to-date data about how service delivery was affected.

No clear timeline of when data will resume.

Givewell is working on funding the data on “health systems strengthening”. It used to be that USAID program grants would broadly always have this embedded funding going to surrounding overhead and supply chain management.

malaria: indications that treatment will be prioritized over prophylactic interventions

malaria prevention was badly affected; us gov was a major procurement

givewell campaign to reach 2 million children were paused because of percieved gaps that may occur later in the year.
USAID - many of the gaps givewell did not materialize because funding was restored

Global Funding Program operates on a 3-year “replenishment” cycle.

US Gov was biggest funder in HIV and family planning (5 billion / 600 million).
